Sun protection and care for healthy skin

Sunlight stimulates the production of vitamin D and melanin and has a positive effect on blood circulation and overall well-being. It can also benefit certain skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema.

At the same time, sun exposure is one of the main causes of premature skin ageing. Approximately 90% of visible skin ageing, including wrinkles, pigmentation spots and loss of firmness, is caused by the sun.

Protection against UVA and UVB rays

Sunlight contains different types of UV radiation. UVA rays penetrate deeply into the skin and can damage collagen and elastin, leading to premature ageing. UVB rays are more intense and can cause redness and sunburn when exposure is excessive.

Sun Protection Factor (SPF)

The Sun Protection Factor (SPF) indicates the level of protection against UVB radiation. SPF15 provides approximately 93% protection, SPF30 around 97% and SPF50+ about 98%. A 100% protection does not exist, making regular reapplication essential.
